Cattleya walkeriana
Cattleya walkeriana needs no presentation, I guess... This clone is not among the best, but is not too bad too . There has been a fever on this species here in Brazil making the price go high like a rocket, artificially in my opinion. The species has many qualities, like being small with large, well-shaped flowers, but nothing that cannot be seen on other species as well. Anyway, special clones, like 'Feiticeira' has been priced as high as US$ 1,000 a division of 4 pseudo bulbs... salty ha?

Walkerianas are also pupular here. Most clones are from Japan and hence the prices are also high.

Nice flower Mauro! I have to say that H&R Nurseries has a LOT of really nice walkeriana clones (coerulea, sakura snowball, divina, etc) for pretty inexpensive prices. I dont know if they ship to Brazil, but you might be able to ask for some walkerianas for Christmas!

Thanks, Isurus! We have lots of walkerianas here, too - coeruleas, flameas, semialbas, albas and so on, that are not so expensive, but quality flowers accordingly have quality prices !
