Default Large flowered Cattleya NOID

After the flowers had faded, this plant was bought at a very low price from a garden center by a friend of mine. She was so happy with the plant that she also painted it, and gave a division and her painting to me. Sadly some years later she suddenly died.
I love especially the rich coloured lip with the red ring. It could be a hybrid influenced by C. trianae, but I have no name. For me it carries the name and memories of a good fried.

I'm very sorry to hear about your friend. The orchid is beautiful. I don't know the name but the colors are really nice.

Sorry to hear of your loss. But what a beautiful memory as are the flowers. And such nice wide petals. I also especially like the picotee edge on the lip. Elegant!

Anyone who combines friendship, art, and orchids is a friend of mine! That's wonderful.
