Cattleya trianae fma rubra 'sangretoro'
Blooming right now is this well known "bulls blood" variety of Colombias national flower, a forma rubra, petals slightly splashed. Flowers standing tall above the foliage. Having strong bulbs and only 2 flowers each (maybe due to decreasing sunlight in late fall), there is enough vigor for the flowers to last a long time.

Very nice! I didn't know that this species had such a compact growth pattern.

Beautiful blooms and such a healthy plant! Thank you for sharing both the pics of the blooms and the whole plant...such a help for newcomers to the hobby like myself!
Happy New Year!

Thanks to all for your encouragement. Now I do regular repotting but wait a few years longer before dividing to get stronger plants.
