B nodosa 'Panama Soiree' x C. Chocolate Drop 'Kodama'
I bought this last year in spike/bud, and as sometimes happens with me,
the buds blasted and no flowers. So, I was pretty excited with the outcome this year. It almost makes it worth the wait...Almost!

WOW! Two of my favorite ochids all in one. It sure was worth the wait. Where did you find it? How big does it get? Gotta have that one for sure!! Great photo too. A winner all the way!

Kim, I bought it from Louis Del Favero last year. I think it might be one of Claude's orchids from Jamaica. Right now it is in a 4 inch clay pot and is about 10 inches tall.
Unfortunately it doesn't have a scent though.

Really gorgeous! And a great photo too.
And HOW do you size your pictures AND get them so small in the post? Do tell.

Wow, that is a real beut! Im a big fan of nodosa crosses and that is definitely one of the nicer ones. Does it smell at night, during the day or at all?? I would be very interested in picking one up for myself!

Thanks Laura. I just did a search and found it listed at Hamlyn Orchids in Kingston, Jamaica. It is named BC. Roman Holiday. The Roman Holidays I've seen offered elsewhere have been yellow. Looks like finding one like yours might be more of an adventure than I anticiated! Thanks again.

I think the one that I bought was originally from Hamlyn's, as Louis has a lot of their stuff. I do know that Louis has some now labeled Roman Holiday. The one that I bought was from an older shipment, possibly before it was named.
Mine does get a lot of bright light so that may account for the color.

Good question Gwen... Wish I had a really good answer for you.
I had the hardest time getting my photos to upload due to the size of them, so I copied my thumbnails and then upload them, then I copy the linked thumbnail and paste in the post. Everyone else seems to post theirs in a piece of film, but I've yet to figure out how to do that!
