No, you did. I am hoping if I purchase one it is vigorous. Maybe this variety isn't?

Hard to say. Tiny mericlone plants or even Cattleya seedlings can take up to 5-7 years before they reach maturity. A very slow process for them to grow!

Once they are mature the new pseudobulb won't take that long to grow. I think that is what is happening to my Cattleya.
