It can look very nice under certain light.
The pictures don't really show treu color. It is more of Salmon pink with petals brighter than sepals.

Thank you!

Yeah, the streak really concerns me a lot.
There is actually two more streaks on the other flower as well. One quite small white streak and one even smaller dark red streak on the petal that's touching the other flower. I couldn't capture them in pictures very well, so didn't include here.

This is the second catt with color break. I plan to have most of my collection tested for piece of mind in the very near future.

Mine only three pbs, this variety is supposed to grow fast and bloom often.

Well, I plan to send a sample to Critter Creek, but they are closed until January 10. I will find out for sure and will post the result.

I don't think culture causes such white streak. It's most likely virus or genetic. again, will find out soon.
Yes, it is huge and she has had it for years. That's OK, they are more special when you finally get one after wanting it for a long time. Sooner or later I will stumble upon one for sale.

Good luck with your virus testing-fingers crossed.

Other than that, I'm loving the flower form and the fragrance! Color is good, but I love yellow and would love the clone "Southern Cross".
NY,
Did you ever have this beauty tested?

Wow....this really is just elegant! It has such a delicate appearance with such prominent features in the lip. This is certainly a worth addition to any collection. 'King' indeed.

I had that one too. It was much smaller plant, but mature. had two sheaths sitting there forever and I got tired of waiting. You know what happened next.

I got it because I had seen one in bloom. nice yellow and quite big flowers on petite plant. so it really appealed to me.

A grower here told me he doesn't like cultivar because it is a bad grower or something?? I don't know. but I sure hope yours does well for you.
