Default First Cattleya bloom
I am so excited! This is the first orchid I have gotten to bloom! I've had this plant (Blc. Island Charm) for 2 yrs. now and have never seen it in bloom. Last year, it started to form a bud, but then was shocked by a sudden temp/humidity change causing the bud to blast.
This flower spike looks like it had originally intended to create 2 buds, but only successfully made one for some reason, but I really couldn't be happier. I can't wait until it's fully open!
