Default C. Hsinging Cognac 'Thai Spots'

Cattleya Hsinging Cognac 'Thai Spots' BM/TOGA (Cognac x Thospot Spot)

Got this one in bud a couple months ago, so we can't take credit for the flower, hope that it will get enough bright light to bloom again. It's one very splashy flower with a very distinctive fragrance that I'm not sure I like. This is a good cattleya if you're looking for something a little more compact.

Barbara, the spotted cat is beautiful. I haven't seen one yet that I didn't like. I believe there is a possibility you mis-spelled the name though. When I looked it up, I found hsinying.

I just went through that in another forum it is Hsinying pronounced sin-ying a nursery in Taiwan. Jim.

Oh no, now I'll have to look and see if I spelled it right in my post the other day. Some of these orchid names are hard to spell since they are pronounced completely different.

The flower is really pretty! Bright and cheerful and very spotted!!! You say you're not sure you like the fragrance? What does it smell like?

Even though it was in bud when you got it, you can still take credit. After all, it could have shattered!!!!

EXQUISITE! Spotted Catts, my favorite. I have a few myself but I think I need to find this one to add to the tribe. May I ask if you purchased this on the internet Barbara? I've got my credit card ready!

Enjoy!

Thanks. Sorry about the spelling, I didn't even look twice at it! I can't quite put a finger on what it reminds me of, kind of like a musty old cupboard I guess. Sometimes the scent is a little sweeter, but maybe that's the jasmine sitting next too it!

It came from Clouds and they do have a website, it's been mentioned before...You would think every orchid in my collection came from there!
