Default NOID Laelia anceps in bloom on patio

I bought a small no name laelia anceps growing on a stick from Andy's Orchids in 2008. It bloomed first time in late December in 2010. I broke off the growing tip later in 2011 after it started throwing off roots and the part remaining on the stick threw off two new growths. Well the part I broke off and potted in bark rebloomed beginning in early October, very very early for this species, but a welcomed sight. And just this past week, the two growths on the stick also started blooming. I would have sworn these were winter bloomers but I guess our very hot late summer had an impact on them.

I'm sorry I don't understand why you are calling this a Noid when you have the correct name for it, that is this is Laelia anceps, that is it's name and a good one as well.

Warren.

UM you might mean it's not called Laelia anceps ' Hillview " or something. I put VERY LITTLE value in these added on names to species, on hybred's yes there is a place for them.
