Two years later, July 2014, much nicer display
Well here we are, two years later, and this quirky laelia hybrid has 2 more years under its belt growing outdoors, stronger pseudobulbs, and now 4 massive blooms, two on each spike. They've been blooming since July 14, I think they may last through the end of July but not much further. Definitely improving with age, and very fragrant.

there ya go 2 years of consistent culture goes a long way to getting good results. lots of people change the plants around so much when they dont respond and they dont even realise they set it back even further when they do. leave them alone and let them be still and comfy and they respond.

I did a little research on this one, as far as I can tell it is registered as Rhyncholaeliocattleya, (Rlc) King Edward VII, Reg. in 1898 by a Mr. Veitch.
