Default Lc. Canhamiana (Laelia purpurata x Cattleya mossiae) 'Blue'
Treated myself to this beauty as a birthday present to myself this month!
It has such a wonderful lip and blue shimmer on its petals. And did i mention how wonderful it smells! Love it!

Lovely! I have this hybrid only the 'Azure Skies' cultivar. It is a vigorous grower. Happy Birthday!

You can say that again! I got it in bud on Sunday just passed, and the next morning one was fully open.

Thanks so much everyone, my Birthday is the 24th of Oct.
I updated the photos as well as the second bud opened the later in the day after bud number one opened. Vigorous grower indeed!

Just an update...Both this and a Pot. Hawaiian Thrill are giving strong scents to my living room; its so relaxing to be constantly getting a whiff of them while enjoying the intermittent breeze through my french windows.
The colours on the Canhamiana have evolved and the petals and sepals are taking new form and twisting in some places. I can't get over the lip on this one still.
