Cattleya warneri and some of its color forms
This species has large flowers, sometimes really big (the larger I've seen until now had 21 cm across).
The flowers are just like those of its more famous sister, Cattleya labiata, including the double floral bracts, which we commonly hear to say that is a distinctive characteristic for Cattleya labiata.
Here are the type and some of its color forms:
Darker form, which some call forma rubra (in my opinion, it is not correct).

One thing is absolutely right, it's time consuming!!! But, also, it's been a great pleasure during the last 30 years!

I love when you show off you're plants!!! Especially the concolor types! Warneri concolor just started a new growth I'm hoping I can get it right and have it bloom this spring!
Question mauro! My labiata made two late season growths they are just opening their leaves and I see both growths have produced sheaths from what I can see!! Will they bloom this year or next?

A bit late... they should be blooming now. If they don't bloom in the next month, they most likely won't bloom in the next year too.
