This is an eye-catching species, no matter how you look at it. It is now seldom seen in the wild, a few colonies still remain in Espirito Santo and also some in southern areas of the State of Bahia.
Very stable species, with almost no color variations except for the forma coerulea and now, since last year, an alba form (sepals and petals brilliant green, pure white lip), a single plant which flowered for the AWZ nursery in the State of Espirito Santo, in the middle of a batch of seedlings.
Grown in a mix of granite gravel and moss (50x50 more or less)
The next two are grown in mos, a mix actually, 70% moss, 30% peanuts of white Styrofoam.
