These just opened up this evening. Really looking forward to tomorrow afternoon when they become fragrant.

I love em too. Very similar to its relative Encyclia Cochleata which is native to the Fakahatchee Strand and also drop dead gorgeous.

I have mine in an 8" cedar basket filled with Dendrobium mix kinda loosely filled with a little sphagnum moss mixed in. It's outdoors hanging in a tree in my backyard so it gets filtered light but no direct sunlight ( west exposure, but only for 5-6 hours a day as my neighbors house is kind of close to me and blocks the sun during the afternoon.

I water it every other day and I live on a lake so the humidity is up there. I don't keep it soaked....I water it and let it dry out and sometimes ill let it get really dry and not water it for a couple weeks ....nothing to scientific. I just feel what the plant asks for and give it to it.

Never use orchid foods or fertilizers. Just Mother Nature and h2o
