Blc Waianae Leopard 'Ching Hua'
Haven't been around in a dog's age and I'm sure I've missed out on a lot of beautiful pictures and great discussions. My depression over what has happened to my Phal collection and the Erwinia devastation has really set me back significantly! I'm a hair short of dumping the entire lot!!!! On a better note is this Cattleya. As some of you know, I place them out on the driveway and let them bake. Well some baked a bit too much but this is the first time this has flowered for me and I have to believe it is because of the warm sun exposure all summer long. Thanks for looking

So sorry for your loss. Erwinia sucks!!!!
These blooms are gorgeous. Chin up and no dumping allowed. You've gone through the worst so things can only get better.

Beautiful cattleya! Mine bloomed last month. I like the clustered flowers on some of these bi-foliates. I'm sorry to hear about your problems with your phal collection. Good luck.

Last spring I re-potted all my phals and placed them in the shade of my very large oak tree so I could bleach and clean the interior of the greenhouse before returning everything inside. Since they seemed to be doing well outside, I wasn't in a hurry to place them back in the greenhouse. Had to travel for a few weeks and upon my return found some had nasty mushy leaves. At the time, didn't know what it was but began spraying with SA-20. Thought things were under control and placed things back in the greenhouse only to find "The Fat Lady hadn't sung!" I used antibiotics and sprayed heavily with SA 20. Things are significantly better now but I lost close to 40% and what's left "ain't gonna" be in any pictures!!!!
