Default Lc. C G Roebling Coerulea 'Beechview'

got 1 good flower out of 4 and the good one isnt up to what the beechview standards been set at. These are some really nice easy to grow BIG catts and smell just wonderful and dont last long.

grown in 3 parts orchiata, 1 part sponge rock and 1 part charcoal. gets the same light everything else does and It looks like could have used some more light overall. watered before it gets dried out in this heat. I feel like I dont want to stress the old bulbs too much before they set up nubbins ya know. Just a Feelin not much science.

I should have got better pictures I didnt know the flowers would crap out so fast.

but I like them hope you like them blue too

Very pretty. And you are so right about it's fragrance.
I bought one in blue color from last Redland Orchid festival. ......mainly because it smelled so wonderful. It was expensive but I had to have it.
Flowers on mine did not last too long either.
Vendor also had pink ones like yours. If I had enough money, I would have bought that one too.

thats a 6 inch pot so the bulbs total over 14+ inches tall...its a big boy. The tag said the plant was potted up from a seeding compot march 2010. More than 4 years old then with 5 bulbs blooming on the last 2 full growths.

thank you much

Yes. It was sort of perfumy...sweet but had sharp notes as well. I was sniffing at it several times a day.

Your photos are most excellent.
I have one of these in blue that I received as a birthday present a few years ago. It was purchased from a Melbourne, Fl orchidist who is now retired. I need to take pictures of mine when it blooms. And I agree the fragrance is intoxicating!

Beautiful blooms. Waiting for a scratch and sniff website so we could all smell the scent.
