The flowers are six inches big, cream with a distinct pink picotee around the edges of the petals and lip; long lasting for about 4 to 5 weeks with heavy substance. I am lucky to get two large flowers from one sheath…for the past two blooming cycles I get only one large flower per sheath.…
It’s got a citrusy fragrance like the Hermes men’s cologne that is very noticeable within two feet radius all day.
It’s a five year old that is flowering every summer….In greenhouse conditions, most orchids require shading to prevent leaves from overheating…. since I am a windowsill grower; it is mandatory that I give it the maximum light available so it is outside on the fire escape….it is also hanged even it its potted because insects, slugs and ants love to enter the pot and damage the plant….you can also look at past bloom pictures on my album
