Congrats! These are definitely a 'must-have' orchid. I have a mounted Little Stars and just bought a nodosa and tied it onto cork right away. Just waiting now for it to begin attaching.

Lovely! Mine is in a slotted basket...seems to like it a lot. They do like mounts, but mine hasn't missed a beat since re-potting this Spring...BettyE.

Love these guys! I have a specimen plant in a 10" clay pot. I wanted to mount it but had no idea how to do so with such a beast. It's growing happily - despite the fact I have to move it to higher light. Fingers crossed for blooms!

Brassavola nodosa
My B. nodosa is in a treefern pot. It is now growing over the edge of said pot. Where do I go from here? There is no way I can unattach the plant from the treefern. Help!

Can you put it in a bigger tree fern pot? Then you don't have to "re-pot." That is what I do with orchids in clay pots with good potting media.

Brassavola nodosa
Thanks, Steve. I'll have to see if I can get a larger treefern pot. The one that the plant is in is about 10" across. I just got to thinking that maybe I can break off the part of the tree fern where no roots are penetrating and then maybe it will fit into a pot about the same size.
This is the first nodosa I have bought that has survived my conditions and I would sure not like to loose it.
