Now that my excitment has calmed down, here is a real picture of the full opening. The display is a bit crowded, but the shape and fragrance are wonderful.

Good thing I got this pic when I did. In my absence last week the 1000W MH bulb in my room exploded and gave a healthy overdose of UV to all the plants. All flowers in my room are toast. More on that in a later post.

Here it is again after a lethal dose of UV about 4 days after opening. Quite a sight, fortunately the plant seems unaffected. If it flowered once, I'm sure it will again.

So pretty, what a shame it got fried. But as you said, you know it can flower for you so it should be able to do it again.
