good job blooming that one! its hard sometimes to get the right ratios of light water media etc...but once you have it figred out it should reward you!!

I just always have a tough time with the "non-bloomer" name. Something keeps it from blooming. Light, heat, nourishment, timing? Finding out what it is can be frustrating but also rewarding when you get it right.

right james, i have never seen a 'non bloomer'....some are just trickier than others, but nature insists on blooming a plant if you get conditions right....

let the other bud open and the two flowers can flatten some before you take pictures...it will show a better form....but the colors are fantastic! I love it....

Now that my excitment has calmed down, here is a real picture of the full opening. The display is a bit crowded, but the shape and fragrance are wonderful.

Good thing I got this pic when I did. In my absence last week the 1000W MH bulb in my room exploded and gave a healthy overdose of UV to all the plants. All flowers in my room are toast. More on that in a later post.
