Default 2014 Valentines Day Rebroom

A very thrilling discovery just hidden among the large Vandas at the center of the bay window; this is facing the glass so it is turned away from me....but I smelled the distinctive bubble gummy fragrance so I know it is in bloom. I hope to get some pods on these and try it on ice cream.

They look great, Bud! So glad they're putting on a show for you! Mine was in sh but suffered a disruptive fall (it was in a hanging pot) and shattered with its pot. I replanted it but it struggled and only now that I have a good grow tent and lights and daily heavy misting do they look happy again. I find these plants will bloom seemingly random times and by no real catalyst. I think it's funny though that they'll be upright, sideways, upside down when they do bloom. Rather characteristic of their whimsical and funny growing habit.

Thank You, Ryan !

I practically just leave them alone. On my very first postings = there were merely a dozen bulbs....now its tripled and just gave me several blooms....
your plant will grow into a specimen soon and give you many flowers....

Thank You !

It grows with no fuss....just feed it regularly and you're set....this is a relative of the Vanillla and also produces pods for flavoring ice cream and other deserts

Not that relative to Vanilla, they are in very different subfamilies and Vanilla is an "archaic" orchid, not Leptotes.
