I can't remember when this last flowered. Now there is a sheath with buds developing and the outside weather has varied between 60 and 90f in the last few weeks.
Should I bring it indoors to flower ?
I am worried that the buds will be damaged if left outside as it can only get hotter. Should I mist the leaves a few times a week ? Its hanging from a tree and gets dappled sun.

Sounds like it's happy where it is. If it's not getting full sun during the heat of the day, I think it would be fine, tho a big jump in temp could possibly be worrisome.

We've been having similar crazy weather - 97 one day, 72 the next (which means lows in the 40s). I do have one orchid that keeps aborting spikes, and I have wondered if the crazy temps are the culprit, tho the others in spike have been fine Myself, I really don't worry about heat until it's mid 90s at least lol, and then just make sure plants are not in afternoon sun - but, different climates, so idk

If you do bring it inside, do so when the temp outside is similar to your indoor temp, and light as similar as possible. The blooms probably will last longer inside. Keep it away from a/c or fans blowing directly on it.

A bit of a crap-shoot either way - always a risk of blast when relocating an in-bud plant (tho making sure the temperature outside and inside are similar when bringing it in would hopefully prevent that), but outside wacky temperatures.

I think it's my blc Marquette canary, flowering again. 2nd time since nov. heat outdoors did the trick

To borrow a phrase........WOO HOO !!!! Nice flower and twice in the year. Great culture. Is it fragrant? BLC's are my fav especially when fragrant.

it has a nice fragrance only around midday and when the plant is in sunlight. I am pleased it flowered again, though would have preferred Ida ! The colours are richer for being outdoors through bud development. The last time it flowered, the colours were lighter and brighter ( daffodil yellow ). So that's 6 flowers altogether, within 7 months.
As soon as its done, back outdoors it goes.
