Burana beauty blooms again

This is one of my favs also theres more than one type of orchid in that pot but they didnt bloom yet, I like to mix and match so I can display them. Burana beauty blooms multiple times for me every year once they get started the continuously rebloom for months at a time. So I wanted to share

Theres a mini purple catt in there, also does any one else plant different orchids together like me I would like some feed back just to see if any one else has had success with this my purple mini has never bloomed and now I cant remove with out having to break the pot. Now I have other orchids I mixed and they have bloomed but not at the same time.

Many people don't like to pot more than one plant in a pot just in case there is a problem with one. Some people, to get the look of more than one in a pot will pot the plants individually, but then put those pots together in a larger one, and fill in the spaces with bark.

well thanks for the reply I didnt think of that and thank heavens I rarely have any problems with the orchids but will def not pot them together again, makes sense to have them apart Thanks

I do it a little differently. I grow different types of orchids on rescue boards when all else fails to get them started. I keep wiring them on the board as they come out of the bag or pot. Catts, laelias, oncidiums, epidendrums, potinaras, ect. Even mix in phals with them. I have also mixed in Catts with catts and oncidiums with oncidiums just to fill out pots when I didn't have anything smaller. But I don't see why you couldn't pot up some nice tall catts and laelias with some phals around the edges. Maybe some dendrosomethingorothers that hang down below the edge of the pot. Heck I might just do that. Maybe I'll get famous. Oh, then my ex's will know where I am (;

sounds like a good way to be able to care for them individually and have them together at the same time great idea I have several mounted also and have space on many to try this out. by the way your chids look great Oh I have some dendrobium anosmum I have been wanting to mix with my mounted brasavola nodosa so Im going for it ThanksI also have two phals I mixed together an equest. and a noid I saved from a flea market

Your orchid is beautiful! I love frequent bloomers. I've had my eye on buying a Burana beauty for a while. I think your post I made the decision for me.

I don't think there's anything wrong with planting orchids together but when you put it in a wood basket, it's pretty much there to stay. After a few years the plants get quite large and then having two in there might be a problem.

When you have orchids that are noids or you have multiples of certain types or you have orchids that won't submit to your stubborn attempts at getting them to grow, why not put them together? A living piece of art that flowers all the time. Different flowers for different seasons. Nothing says that can be. Like my use of copper wire to change the diection of phal blooms. Nothing says I can't. Try stuff. It's fun.

I know how to care for them so I rarely have any problems, I have mixed many of them and not all have bloomed but many of them have even though they havent bloomed at the same time like I would like but it has been pretty successfull in my eyes and yes its true once there clinging on to that wooden basket its a done deal

potinara beauty is a prolific bloomer omg some times they bloom for months at a time. I give mine plenty of sun, yes sun mine get from around 3pm to sundown direct sun and they love it but my conditions here in Florida are unique (so it depends where you live), I have also had them for years and gradually given them more light each year and now there situated in one spot all year long with exceptions to weather changes that causes me to move them inside for a few weeks.
