Enc. citrina
Not my plant but photographed at the Northwest Orchid Society Show earlier this spring. I also know that the name has been changed, but prefer to use the older names.

A fantastic species, whatever you choose to call it. Too bad it's not more widely available.

Nice photo of a nice orchid. Yes it is not widely available or grown. The fragrance is of citrus and it flowers for quite awhile. I could grow them very well down in Ocean Beach about 25 miles south of where I am now but have been unable to grow them here. Same temps, same humidity, same light levels. Same distance from the beach. these grow in dry open oak forests in mexico and do well in warm environments. They are grown on mounts and few grow them in pots. Andy's Orchids grows them and his are beautiful. I took my last barely alive citrina to him to ask how to grow it. I was embarrassed when I walked into his nursery and there were dozens of healthy citrinas hanging there proudly.
