A strong, healthy and well established plant. Sand and blue sky is what they like.
I have seen pictures of this species from the island of Hispaniola, where it grows in the Parque Nacional del Este on trees just behind the beach. And personally I've seen one plant near the road at an hotel entrance mounted to a pillar cactus.
Thank You!
I enjoyed your narrative about your experience regarding this orchid plant.

Bud...seems Manhattan suits her well! All the culture advice has been noted by me so I will try again. My alba in a basket bit the dust -your color is much lovelier esp. with blue sky behind.
I had my alba reposted last week, if you have the chance to get these orchids, just try again for this is a lovely orchid both this pink and the alba. You may put it outdoors in the warm summer months since this loves bright sun and breeze....two weeks before frost put it indoors on the south facing window and easy on fertilizer for the duration of winter months.
