Broughtonia sanguinea splash petal
First-bloom seedling of 'Star Splash' x sib, grown in a bright windowsill since March 2011. I'm about to put it in a basket and start growing it outside, hopefully I can increase flower count beyond 3 next time it blooms. Thanks for looking!

Thanks, Rosie! I've been pleasantly surprised by how much I like this plant. I have a seedling of another color form that I'm hoping to see bloom this year, too.

Beautiful flower. I am glad you posted this. I have one alba and a pink variation...the pink is in spike with four buds...

Beautiful! It should do very well in a basket.

Beautiful! I have an alba form that has been in flower with two spikes for months. The first buds blasted, then the plant branched at a node. It just keeps producing more buds from the tip. This year the form isn't that good though. The petals are kind of twisted. Yours has a very nice shape. I really want an aurea form and a splash petal like yours. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks everyone!
I look forward to seeing your pink one, Bud, I have another seedling that hasn't bloomed but should be pink.
Wynn Dee, your alba sounds great! Very cool that the spike reblooms, I hope mine does that. If you're looking for a splash-petal I got mine from Marble Branch, though I believe it's originally from H&R. Not to be an 'orchid pusher' or anything...

I love 'orchid pushers'! I actually got my alba from Marble Branch. I am going to add these to my novel of a orchid wish list!
