Who are your favorite species Catt/ Laelia vendors in the U.S.?


I"m looking to expand my collection of species, especially on the Laelia side (besides anceps) and would like your suggestions. Thanks!

There are many great growers in South Florida, namely in Homestead. For Encyclia species I would highly recommend Ruben In Orchids. And I noticed very very healthy looking Catts at Carib Plants, but you'll have to check and see what species they have available. Generally speaking, I would recommend taking a Saturday to drive down to Homestead and stop at all of the Catt growers. Some of them are not always open, so I would call first and check for the day you would be planning to go. This link has a few vendors listed, but there are many more orchid growers in homestead, like Amazonia Orchids, R.F. Orchids, etc.

Locally I would say Ruben in Orchids is the best for species. On-line Maranda Orchids specializes in cattleya and laelia species from Brazil. I've never bought anything from them but the web-site looks interesting. They are in Haines City, FL. Here's the link.

My favorite Catt breeder is H&R in Hawaii. Definitely the best in my opinion.

I like Camp Lot a Noise, Tropical Orchid Farm, Jewell Orchids, and Ruben in Orchids.
