Lc. Chian-tzy Mildcompton

At an orchidshow in Arenys de Mar (near Barcelona, Spain) I bought this Lc. Chian-Tzy Mildcompton from a grower from who I already have some orchids.
I realy am no expert in Cattleyas or Laeliocattleyas. Can anyone give me some hints on how to get the new growth to bloom?
Here are some picture of it. It's quite a big plant with a span of about 20".

good strong new growth, water it once a week or so, when it gets dry....i dont know what your conditions are there.....and feed it weakly weekly....it should flower beautifully gl

It needs pretty good light too.

I agree with the above posts. Let the plant dry out between waterings. Give it as much light as it will tolerate without burning it. Then if all goes well it will flower. Sometimes they don't and I can't figure out why. For example, I have two Laelias of the same species and they are grown side by side. They are in the same size pot, in the same meadium, and are treated the same way. This year one bloomed and the other didn't. Last year the same thing happened. The one that didn't bloom this year bloomed last year and the one that bloomed this year didn't bloom last year. It's a mystery to me! The only other thing I would add is when you repot wait until the new growth is putting out new roots. A lot of times they don't do very well if you repot at the wrong time. Good luck!

Here's an update. The leaf has opened now and inside something is growing. Is that a sheath?

Yep that's a sheath. Sheaths don't produce flowers 100% of the time. Sometimes they are empty but it's a good sign it could have blooms. Watch it and if there are buds you will soon be able to see them inside the sheath. Some Cattleyas bloom from dry sheaths too! Congrats and I can't wait to see the flowers!

Neither can I. It would be the very first time I can get a Cattleya to bloom. I have another one (French Night Offenbach) that has set out a new growth which turned into a leaf, but nothing happens. I'll post a picture of it eventually.
