It is a short plant. The bloom is about 5 cm in width.

Beautiful...I love the splash of colors like on a modern painting. The ruffles of the petals and lip give it a nice texture. Good growing ....

Beautiful! I've come across pics of this one several times on websites of the various growers I shop at, and yours has very little yellow on it in comparison. The ones I've seen has a lot more yellow on the lip, and the splash has a lot of yellow as well.

Camille, The plant has bloomed twice since i got it. The blooms do different from those of the typical clone and lack some yellow in them. I don't know if the color pattern would change in different growing conditions.

You can with food and light but not by much. Color is deternmined by chromasomes. Even different plants within a clonal group show differences in color, and even fragrance. I like the color here.
