Default Cattleya amethystoglossa var. salmonea

For those who have enough room, Cattleya amethystoglossa is really a rewarding species. It comes from the Brazilian State of Bahia, has tall pseudo bulbs, can produce more than a dozen flowers on a single stem and is easy to grow. Mine is a beautiful, seldom seen salmon colored variety.

Those flowers look incredibly beautiful. I'm going to pray very hard that the sheath that my plant produced this summer will actually produce flowers next spring. Thank you for the inspiration!

Waiting is the hard part of this hobby, isn't it Smweaver? I hope your plant do not disappoint you! Good luck with it

Nice one. And it does remind me of Salmon though. Unfortunately.
