Default Two L. tenebrosas I would die to have

OK...so i am always on the lookout for rare/awarded/hard to find orchids. Sometimes, I locate the plants but they are just NOT FOR SALE!!!

It's very upsetting.

These are two clones I would die to have.

Here is the first:

Laelia tenebrosa aurea "OSB"

It is from Gnomos in Brasil and they just do not have a division for sale. They said mericlones would be available in two years, but as a general rule, i don't buy mericlones...just not the same.

The second there is no chance of ever getting It is owned by a buddhist priest in Japan who has one of the most amazing collections, esp. of Paph. rothschildianum, but he never sells anything ever ever!

C.tenebrosa aurea 'Five Star' AM/JOGA

*sigh*

Sounds like an unreasonable attachment to material things, for a buddhist priest. Maybe you should whack him on the head with a stick...

I know, it seems very odd to me. Sam is always telling me about he is constantly drooling over this priest's roth collection, but he won't let go of a single division.

Certainly sounds like tenebrosa envy to me! For good reason - beautiful plants!
