Silken, hold off on repotting this now. Wait until the pbulb has thrown out roots. Then it will take off and produce probably two buds on the front pbulb and possibly another from the second bbulb. If you take a razor blade and cut the rizome bewteen the second and third bbulb halfway through it will push buds from the older bbulbs. Only halfway through though. Once you see roots on the front bulb, repot it. Good luck.

Your blooms could possibly be the same as mine. This cross is quite variable producing yellow blooms, ones like mine and some with more pink to them as well as an almost pure white. But usually if its a NOID it is impossible to say for sure what it is. It certainly looks similar.

Thanks for the tip. I for sure won't re-pot until there is a new pseudo bulb and new roots started. I may try the cut halfway thru. I did that once but can't remember the results! A bit scary to try but I understand the reasoning behind it!

Yours looks exactly like my 'Fantastic'! Mine just finished after two months! Now it is working on new growths. I have mine in lava rock and a net pot. It had four blooms on the spike, likely as it is an established orchid that had bloomed before. These are wonderful! Enjoy!

I sure hope mine last a while! Mine didn't have a cultivar name so I guess the piece it came from wasn't awarded, but I am loving it! Can't wait for it to get a little bigger and possibly produce more blooms. A few people I know almost always have this blooming in March for our garden show where our society has a nice display. So maybe mine was just late as it is young?? Mine also bloomed sheathless. Not sure if that is normal for this one.

Thankyou for the help in IDing my orchid. They are so similar I'll call it that. I looked at your photos and they are exquisite. So far mine just bloom here and there. I have a ton of cyms and they are very reliable. Here in SoCal I have most of them out in the garden in full sun.

I'm a big species snob but I love this hybrid. My sister has one for 6 years. It blooms twice a year and the fragrance is amazing, one of the best. She's giving me a division next week because I'm ashamed to say, I begged.
