Default C. maxima

Even though the tag disappeared more than year ago, I am reasonably sure this is a C. maxima. Hopefully someone will be kind enough to confirm.

Wow! Very impressive. You've really done a good job growing that one. It does look like a c. maxima. They usually bloom in the fall but they can occasionally bloom other times of the year. Congratulations on all those flowers.

Looks really wonderful - good growing! Looks like C. maxima to me also. The lip, the way the bud open and the color develops and deepens over time. Nice!

Really wonderful display you've got there. And for what it's worth, your plant looks like C. maxima to me as well. Are the flowers scented?

Thank you all for the positive feed back, and help with identification. Yes, there is a faint scent.

That is definitely a happy plant! Your variety is nice too because the flowers don't have the droopy appearance that often comes with this species.

all the characteristics present in your plant points to a C. maxima...the color, texture and form...even the ruffles and veining of the lip... the pbulbs shape and color/shape of the leaves
You have a large specimen that gave you a magnificent display of blooms...good growing !
