Rhyncattleanthe first bud opened
This morning while watering the orchids, I looked up and literally gasped in startled surprise when I saw this bloom popped open! Now the tag reads Blc (Tangerine Horses x Blc Carolina Golden D'Or). To be honest, I was expecting something a little more... well, orange. It is, however, a very nice color. The form is uncertain at this point, we will have to wait a dew days to see how it settles. Thanks for looking!

It is very pretty. If only my catts would grow up. I got them all two years from blooming so for now I will live vicariously through your plant. Good growing.

Very nice! I love the rich lip colour! I looked on Orchidwiz, and yes, you would think it would be more orange or gold!

Thanks you guys! I think this must have been mislabeled. Here's a link to one who's look matches its name, and mine could not possibly be a sibling of this one.
Blc. Tangerine Horses X Blc. Carolina Golden D'or

Hmmm, that is interesting.
Still a beautiful bloom though.

Thanks, Silken. The whole reason I got it was because it would be orangey. I will have to settle for pink with a blush of peach.

Thanks Bud, but I'm thinking it's a mislabel.
