Laelia purpurata 'Cindarosa'
Laelia purpurata is one of my favorites. Particularly if the
hybridizers haven gotten to it. Leave it alone it is elegant as is.

BEAUTIFUL!!!! I just got L. purpurata carnea and I'm really looking forward to its blooms! How big is your plant? (Judging from the RAPID growth of mine, I'm guessing it might get even larger than I anticipated!) This has always been one of my favorite orchids... and you're right, its beautiful enough as it is! Congrats!

This plant is about 12 years old and about 18" high and has about 15 growths. It blooms when it exceeds the edge of its 6" pot or pot bound.

Spectacular! I haven't tried growing those yet. Yours is so pretty, I guess I'll have to get one. Good growing.
