How to care a Walkeriana??

Hi I recently bought one walkeriana, and come with 4 flowers but now they are falling. When the flowers naturally fall, then what happens with the strange side pseudobuld? they stay alive?

The new growth that put out the flower will die...sort of. The top part will turn brown, but the bottom half will stay alive and will put out new growths so don't cut them off.
