I always though crosses were limited to the same alliance, though Ramon says it's within the same tribe. Alliance= highly related genera within a single tribe, that usually can be crossed

So for instance, I consider crosses between Phals and Vandaceous plants to be an exception, while by Ramon's definition it's normal.
