Help with brassavolas
I would like to get a Brassavola cucullata but due to there droopy growth habit, it is said they are best grown on a mount. I grow under T5 lights and the humidity is around 40% in winter and 55% or higher in summer. Would it be ok to mount this orchid even with my conditions? On the AOS website it said that if you pot Brassavola cucullata, use a ring stake. I would really like it mounted though. How often would it need watered if I did mount it? And what would I do with it if I went away for a week? I also like Brassavola David Sander. Would this orchid be more suitable for a pot? Thanks for any advice.
