Default Laelia splendida 'cauca' x Enc cordigera 'Paradise'

I've been waiting for this chid to get nice enough for judging. I hope to take it to Flamingo Gardens this weekend if the flowers hold. Got a couple with thrip damage on 1 spike but the rest are good. 10 spikes and 90 flowers. I'm really hoping to have it still holding. It was a small division Feb of '08 from Paul Storm. Hope you like it. Plus, wonderfully fragrant.

That's amazing! Is Paul Storm a grower here in South Florida?

Fantastic, Lorraine! I'm a big fan of Laeliinae primary hybrids and that one is superb.

He sure is. He has Meke Aloha Orchids over in Sarasota. I saw him at Bonnet House last fall. Sometimes several Societies have him give presentations through the week. He loves Schomburkias now renamed.

We had Paul give his lecture here in Austin a few months back and it was great! He really inspires you to get more Schombos and their hybrids. With crosses like the one here, its easy to see why!

Holy smokes! That's fabulous! Good growing, and good luck with judging (I'm thinking positively that the blooms will hold for you!)
