Lorraine - You said you got it from Paul Storm, send him a picture, he really enjoys keeping up with seedlings that he sells. Here is his email address: mekealoha@comcast.net

You can tell him that Glen Gary told you to send it.

Not to worry Glen....Paul & I have been emailing back & forth about this chid. He even wants a piece back for a trade. Someone in the Lauderdale area who loves schombos passed up getting one when looking at his website but when he sent them my pic they were allover getting one now. LOL Gee I don't know why

Do they bloom once a year? Or more? This one sure grabs my attention.
Everyone wish me luck. I'm going to an orchid show on Saturday!

Hi Vanda Lover,

This blooms once a year but holds the flowers for over a month, beautiful and so fragrant it is worth every day waiting for it to bloom. When it's done it gets hung up in a bright spot fed on schedule and gets itself ready for next year.

Check with the vendors that have schomburkias (now laelia) or Myrmecophila they might be able to help you get one. Hope you find one. You'll become a Schombo Lover!

Thank you Lorraine.
I have limited space, so I try to only buy plants that flower often. But I do love that one.

Here is one that blooms on just about every new growth. Stlma Kelly 'Lea' You will love it. Nice size flowers and 2/3/4 to each spike. Loves a sunny location. The color is really much brighter than this pic.

I do love it! It's unfortunate that Canadians don't have the selection of orchids that they do in the States. I'm not prepared to pay the fees to import for only one or 2 orchids. The show I'm going to is quite small, but I'm sure there will be something I like. There always is!
