I like this plant exactly the way it is: small, delicate, cute. The glittering petals always fascinated me and this little shine in the sunlight. :)

Well, at least you got it to bloom :-) I have several rupiculous Laelias and this is one of those which I have not been able to bloom... And Fred is right, they need a lot of light, so that the leaves get a reddish tone..

Steve, is it growing entirely in rocks or gravel?

Who cares if the colors are "bland?" At least the plant was gracious enough to bloom for you. :)

Every bloom is a gift, IMO.

Entirely in gravel; atleast from what I can see. I haven't dug around in the media though.

Normally I would agree! But I grow in a very small space now, so every inch is precious. This guy better get it right on the next bloom!! :evil: Muhuhahahahahaah!!!
