C walkeriana 'Camandu'

The first walkeriana of the season. This is the result of cloning the famous CW 'Feiticeira' (witch), the most perfect CW found in nature at all times (take a look here: http://www.aod.com.br/site/userfiles...Feiticeira.JPG . Unfortunately, the 'Feiticeira' presents a wide genetic instability, and it is an "unclonable" plant: the result is this real crap we call "Camandú". If someone wants to have 'Feiticeira', he will need to buy a division of the original plant (very expensive). Fortunately, selective breeding of CW have excellent results, even better than the original 'Feiticeira'
PS: 'Feiticeira' is also terrible parent plant, resulting in sterile seeds. It's really is a unique plant!

I think I read somewhere that C. walkeriana 'Adonis' is also a mutated clone of 'Feiticeira.' Although it looks a lot more like 'Feiticeira' than 'Camandu' does, it must be that 'Feiticeira' mericlones are unpredictable.

Gorgeous plant!!! I got a walkeriana a few months ago because I thought they stayed small! (looks like I need more space than I initially thought!) I guess it is 'small' by catt standards! Beautiful flower!
