That is absolutely stunning. I would have loved to have seen the original when it got the FCC, 47 flowers and four buds on 14 spikes. The plant had a total of 120 bulbs. Now that is a plant!!!!

thanks you ...47 flowers hey? I'm happy with 2. That was an old plant. I saw a great walkeriana from a OS member and he was going to divide it up for us that had about 20 bulbs. When he noticed it had buds in the sheaths, we didn't divide it. He said the plant was only 5 years old.. only 5 years old?..120 bulb plant was probably about 50 years old...but thanks you for looking.. If you guys dont look not much reason for me to post them . I know what they look like

VERY nice!! If yours grows as fast as the one from the OS member, you should have a nice show of blooms in a few years!

I just got a Walkeriana... not sure what to expect from the plant... how big does it have to be to flower? mine is in a 3" clay pot as of now, and I see new roots and what appears to be growth. Is this a quick growing plant? What conditions does it like?

Very pretty! You're right about walkeriana not liking the heat. When mine spikes during the summer, the buds always fail to develop. During the winter it blooms well.

Gorgeous!
FYI- The AOS has renamed this one as Cattleya Snow Blind 'Kenny.'

If they have decided that it was a hybrid, how on earth can they let the FCC stand. The FCC was awarded to a plant that was being judged against other walkerianas. I just don't get it sometimes.
