I was wandering down a trail this morning and bumped my head on this.

I agree it is a Maxillaria, looks pretty close to Max. luteo-alba. Just realized that you are from Costa Rica, in that case it may very well be Max. ringens.

I think it is more likely to be Max. endresii based on the leaf.

You are most likely right, I guessed off the top of my head but having looked at photos of them both, again, you are most likely right.

You guys are good ! I had it wrongly tagged as Setigera.
I " borrowed" a cutting at about 4000 feet of elevation.
I was surprised to see a Floridian know it.

As soon as she opens I've got another odd one.
