As always, hard to get fully open. It is typical for this variety to have the petals almost paralel to the column. Many breeding essays have generated some flatter clones that are not that easy to find.

It is quite wild looking!
Do they consider that a peloric or is it established as 'normal'? Will this plant ever send off a 'normal' looking bloom and stop producing the more peloric looking completely at some time, like phals can and do?
Just curious
As Phantasm says, it's a peloric, stable variation, Dorothy.
BTW, the other day I posted an intermedia caerulea aquini and commented a little about how they have bred it. Here's a photo with the original aquini and the caerulea that came out of it. The other parent used with the original aquini to generate the aquini coerulea is the regular intermedia coerulea also shown below.

Hi Rosim very magnificent C. intermedias aquini red and caerulea, and caerulea! Congratulations! Cordially regards for you and all us from Argentina....
Hi Gusorchis
Yes, those are pretty intermedias, but I like that regular caerulea more than the others (so to speak!!). It is a small grower, the flower is thick, very thick, the lip is dark colored and the other segments have a blow of 'blue'. It really is a nice one.
