I wish I could take credit for this beauty! I'll ask Tom, the grower, to share his cultural tips with orchidboard

[QUOTE=caseydoll;52123]Just curious, how would you describe the smell? All my fragrant orchids are somewhat recent purchases and have yet to bloom. I've never smelled one fragrant orchid myself and I can't wait!
QUOTE]
Mine is the nice pastel type: Starts off with a white background but turns a very pale yellow with age while still keeping the pink markings. Each bloom measures 3 inches accross. The smell to me smells like Lucky Charms cereal in the morning, adding some orange to the mix by afternoon. Love it!!!!!!

Hello!
it is on south or east window under direct sunlight, when it is sunny, temperature in winter not under 15 C.
It did bloom at the end of april, for one month.

I'm going to revive this thread because I just got my first ever cattleya and it's an IAB. I bought it, of all places, at Home Depot. It has a flower stem that looks like it'll bloom soon so I'm excited!
I read through this whole thread so I'm hopeful I won't kill it. It's my first ever non-phal but it seems like the care for it is pretty similar to phals.
I'm on the east coast so it's still pretty cold out and there's a slight draft in my living room (where I keep my orchids) but the phals do fine. The window is west-facing so the afternoon sun may be too much so I put it to the side and will gradually move it towards the center with the rest of the orchids. Anywho, thanks for all the care info!
