I have both of the dowianas, and still searching for the rex.
I would put these up with eldorados, warscewiczii', and mendeliis.

Gorgeous! I have a seedling dowiana var. aurea. Hope it blooms some day. And I just pre-ordered a Catt. rex from Ecuagenera.
got ants, Ecuagenera is in North America a lot for shows so you might be able to get one from them.

Great looking blooms, Mauro. C. dowiana's a wonderful cattleya, but I think a number of your native Brazilian bifoliates are equally stunning. Congratulations on the blooms.

Both are very stunning cattleya's, i have a small cattleya rex, i hope it will flower as beautiful as your's one day...
