Default Cattleya dowiana var. aurea & Cattleya rex

It's been a while since my last post but, well, I always end up getting back to my favorite forum.

I grow several orchid species, but I'd like to show you all what, in my opinion, is the masterpiece of all orchids, Cattleya dowiana var. aurea:

Cattleya rex, the other natural yellow labiate Cattleya is also a very sought for species. The lip is not so impressive and large as in dowiana, but has its own beauty!

As always, very nice Mauro!

I have both of the dowianas, and still searching for the rex.

I would put these up with eldorados, warscewiczii', and mendeliis.

Gorgeous! I have a seedling dowiana var. aurea. Hope it blooms some day. And I just pre-ordered a Catt. rex from Ecuagenera.

got ants, Ecuagenera is in North America a lot for shows so you might be able to get one from them.

Great looking blooms, Mauro. C. dowiana's a wonderful cattleya, but I think a number of your native Brazilian bifoliates are equally stunning. Congratulations on the blooms.
