Lc. Roseette Warland x C. chocolate drop "red"
A faithful bloomer I bought at a Walmart that was in a bag. I always look at them and like it when I find a named orchid I haven't seen before. The picture dosen't really do it any justice. The throat is a real deep velvety purple and a gradually lighten as it goes and ends with a white frilly edge. and the Petals are a peachy/ purple that really sparkle. One of my favorites.

I've never passed by these Cattleyas in bags at Lowe's without being tempted to buy one. Maybe next time I'll give in and take one home.

Very pretty one you have there.
I too have seen some very nice bagged orchids at Lowe's, some near blooming size Vandas and blooming sized Catt and Onc divisions, including some species plants.
Thanks for sharing!

Lovely bloom. Baggy chids are economical and they can be very rewarding, but sometimes it takes a little time and patience. How long did it take this one to bloom after you purchased it?

Thanks everyone. No it doesn't have a scent, and I thinking it bloomed the second year I had it. As pretty as it is I expected the C. Chocolate drop to be more pronounced in the cross.
