Default skinneri and deckeri

Two very similar flowers, two different species.
C. skinneri 'Heidi Jacobs' and C. deckeri
The deckeri is the miniature one, smaller both in greenery and flower size.
I am super psyched about the deckeri bloom - it is the very first time it has bloomed in 6 years.

Both:

Beautiful! They're quite similar aren't they? I've been wanting to get a 'Heidi Jacobs'. It's a popular outdoor orchid here in south Florida. Yours are very nice. Good growing.

Of course, the other difference between deckeri and skinneri is that deckeri is a fall bloomer, and skinneri normally blooms in the spring.

yeah, I grow the skinneri under lights so it blooms when it feels like it - it has no idea what season it is
