Heirloom Catt

[got ants]

This does not belong to me. It belongs to Tom and Sandy from Broward Orchid Supply. Currently it does not have a name (any clues?), but has been seen many times at the Ft Laud Orchid Show. It usually blooms in january, but this year it is a little early and might not make to to the show...





It still have approx another 25 blooms to open. AND, they have a division growing separately on a tree with another 20 blooms.

I've had a cold for the past few days, but I think it is slightly aromatic.

I'll go back in a day or too and get pics of all the blooms open, and will report os scent then...

Spectacular! I've seen that one before in Tom's back yard. I don't know the name but I love semi-alba catts.

Wow~ Spectacular is the word!
This is the type of cattleyas I used to see on the cover of orchid magazines as a kid.
makes me want to move to a tropical area and grow orchids in the yard.

This is the norm that everyone will aim for in growing their Cattleyas...If thats what all my Cattleyas will look after ten years...I will patiently wait and just keep on doing what I am doing...
